Overview
Lake Bogoria lies in a dramatic stretch of the Rift Valley beneath the Siracho escarpment. Along its western shore, hot springs and small geysers steam and bubble out of the ground — one of the largest geothermal displays in Africa.
The shallow, salty lake often attracts large flocks of lesser flamingos, which feed on its algae.
