Overview
The Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary is a private reserve on the corridor between Tsavo East and Tsavo West, with the Taita Hills as a backdrop. It is best known for its lodge built on stilts above a waterhole, connected by walkways and an underground tunnel to a ground-level viewing bunker.
As a private sanctuary, it allows night game drives, which are not possible in the national parks.
