Price on request
Diani is a long stretch of powder-white sand on Kenya’s south coast, protected by a coral reef that keeps the lagoon calm at low tide. Palm trees, coastal forest and a relaxed village make it Kenya’s favourite beach for ending a safari.
The forest behind the beach is home to the rare Angolan colobus monkey.
Colobus monkeys in the coastal forest, dolphins at Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park, sea turtles, and — between about November and March — the chance of whale sharks offshore.
Snorkel in Kisite-Mpunguti Marine Park and look for dolphins.
Coral reefs a short boat ride from the beach.
Reliable winds in the kaskazi and kusi seasons.
A half-day safari in the hills above the coast, home to sable antelope.
December to March is hot and dry; July to October is cooler and breezy. April to June is the long rainy season.
Fly to Ukunda airstrip (about 1 hour from Nairobi) or to Mombasa, then about 1–1.5 hours by road.
